The upcoming Invest in Africa exhibition is making headlines across various African media houses. The event was featured in Kenya's Nation Daily Newspaper (06/06/2008) and Business Daily (20/05/2008). In both articles, the interest of the Diaspora in investing back home was noted as providing a much needed source investment funds and foreign currency.
The exhibition will be held on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd August 2008 at the Holiday Inn - Bloomsbury Hotel, which is next to Russell Square Tube Station (London). Click here for more details of the venue and programme.
The key aim of the 2008 Invest in Africaexhibition is to continue positioning Africa firmly as an investment destination for Africans in the Diaspora as well as for international investors. The 2008 Exhibition will continue to focus on its key role of linking exhibitors from Africa with Investors in the Diaspora. This year’s conference has the twin-theme – INVEST IN AFRICA; BUILD AFRICA:
-
INVEST IN AFRICA – This theme is about attracting investment into our financial markets. We will be seeking to promote investment in African Stock Exchanges, African banks, investment management, insurance, pensions and other financial services. We are inviting stockbrokers, investment advisers, fund managers, bankers, insurers, pension funds and other major players in the financial services market.
-
-
BUILD AFRICA – This theme is about attracting investment into our real estate. Construction and property investment have been major vehicles that the Diaspora has used to invest in Africa. We are inviting developers, mortgage providers, real estate agents, property managers, professional institutions and other major players in the built environment to participate.
The event has also been featured on Kenya - London News. Visit our video gallery for some video clips from last year's event.
